This course provides preschool teachers with an overview of the growth and development characteristics commonly associated with two-, three-, and four-year-old age groups. Attention is given to the cognitive (mental), language, physical, emotional/social, and spiritual characteristics of twos, threes, and fours. Communication tips are presented that will help the preschool teacher convey development concerns to parents. Teachers will also learn the definition of human growth and development, how to guide student learning, and seven universal patterns and processes for two-, three-, and four-year-old preschool children.
